Eglantine A. LeBlanc, 96, formerly of Saint-André, passed away on Sunday August 13, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Cormier-Village on September 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alban and Roseanne (Landry) Robichaud.
She is survived by four daughters: Claire Melanson (Ronald), Irma Landry (Émile), Janice LeBlanc (Raymond) and Aline Doyle (Christopher); seven sons: Ronald (Helen), Guy (Samantha), Marcel (Ann), Eric (Michelle), Léon, Jean-Claude and Pierre; three sisters: Hectorine Landry, Génora LeBlanc, Bella Bourque (Camille); two brothers: Ronaldo (Tilla) and Archille (Jeaninne); 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one daughter in-law, Barbara, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Eglantine was predeceased by her husband, Roméo LeBlanc (1988); a daughter, Berthe Peake (2000); five brothers: Gérard, Fernand, Uldege, Louis and Cedric.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Thursday August 17, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, 2648 Acadie Road Cap-Pelé on Friday August 18, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Eglantine, a contribution to the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Church or to the CHU Dumont Foundation (palliative care) would be appreciated.
