Hervé Gagnon, 99 years, 10 months, and 29 days passed away on Friday August 18, 2017 at the Villa du Repos. He was formerly living in Waltham, Mass.
Born on September 21, 1917 in Moncton, he was the son of the late François and Adéline (Daigle) Gagnon.
He is survived by seven children: Annette LeBouthillier (Alie) of Caraquet, Roger (Karen Scullion) of Ottawa, Ont., Claudette Leahy-Thériault (Wilmon) of Waltham, Mass., Paul Omer (Joyce), Murielle LeBlanc (Roger), and Gérard (Géraldine), all of Florida, and John (Pamela) of Texas; 17 grandchildren: Jean, Helene, Lise, Robert, Andrew, Natalie, John, Thomas, Karen, Paul, Michelle, Raymond, Jennifer, Robert, Joseph, Jeffrey, and Danielle; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Fernande LeBlanc (late Alcide) of Moncton; one brother, René (Joan) of Mexico; one brother-in-law, Gérard Poirier (Flora) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Nélida née Poirier; two sisters: Léola and Aurore; two brothers: Azor and Gérard; one daughter-in-law, Gwen (Wheaton); two son-in-laws, John Leahy and Raymond Bamford.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday August 22 at 4 p.m. followed by a reception at the centre. Visiting hours are: 2-4 p.m. until time of funeral. Interment will be in Waltham, Mass.
