Léo Leger, 93, of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC, on Sunday, August 20, 2017. Born in Haute-Aboujagane, March 27, 1924, he was the son of the late François and Josephine (Richard) Leger.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for CNR.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 68
years, Bella; three daughters: Lucie Hébert (Paul),
Gisèle (Omer Gautreau) and Berthe Boudreau (late Donald);
four sons: Paul, Émery (Solange), Louis
(Marie-Thérèse) and Claude (Barbara); nine
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and
He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Maria; three sisters: Marceline Sears, Flora St. Pierre and Justine Landry; five brothers: Pacifique, Romuald, Alphonse, Yvon and Vital.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be held in Sacré-Coeur R.C. Church, 944 Route 933, Haute-Aboujagane on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 2 pm. Inurnment will be in the Frenette Columbarium, Shediac.
