Sr Lauretta LeBlanc ndsc
Sister Lauretta LeBlanc, ndsc, in religion Sr. Marie-Florine, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur in Moncton following a lengthy illness. She was 102 years old and in her 84th year of her religious life. Born September 11, 1914 in St-Anselme, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Suzanne (Lirette) LeBlanc.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by five sisters: Cordélia, Zita, Viola, Lorraine, and Florine; five brothers: Adolphe, Gérald, Henri, and two infants.
Sister Lauretta will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Friday from 2 to 8:30 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Friday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday September 9 in Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
