Cécile Cormier, 65, of Grand-Barachois passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Grand-Barachois on November 17th, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Laurie and Juliette (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
She retired from Correctional Services Canada with 32 years of service. Cécile enjoyed knitting, reading, puzzles and playing cards.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Marc Fournier (Jonie); step-son, Acquila "Jr."; a sister, Lorette Duguay (François); three brothers: Clovis (Émerise), Bernard (Murielle), and Jacques (Yvette); three grandchildren: Christopher, Acquila "A.J.", and Brennan; two great grandchildren: Mason and Sebastian also two newphews Réjean and Luc.
She was predeceased by her husband, Acquila (2002) and her brother, Léo-Paul (1961).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 31st at 10: 30am. Visitation from 9 am until time of service followed by a reception at the centre.
A thank you goes out to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Palliative care unit of the Dr. Georges L. Dumont UHC for the attentive care given to Cécile. Special thanks to Dr. Ali Benjelloun and Dr. Elaine Landry.
