Sr Évangéline LeBlanc ndsc
Sister Évangéline LeBlanc, ndsc, in religion Sr. Gloria-Marie, of Moncton, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur in Dieppe following a short illness.
She was 97 years old and in her 67th year of her religious life.
Born July 29, 1920, in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Henri D. LeBlanc and the late Célina née Caissie.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by her sisters: Mina Arsenault, Sophie Beardsmore, and Diana Gauvin; several nieces and nephews.
She’s also predeceased by a sister, Gloria; brothers: Henri, Albert, and Normand.
Sister Évangéline will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère at 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Monday from 2 to 8:30 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Monday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 31 in the chapel of Maison-mère at 10 am. Father Daniel Deveau officiating. Interment will be in Memramcook.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
