Roger Bourque, 84 of Providence Street Shediac and formerly of Barachois, passed away on Friday, October 27th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born on June 23rd, 1933 in Lewisville, he was the son of the late Maurice and Lucilda (Léger) Bourque.
Before his retirement, he was a supervisor with CNR, Main shop Scrap Yard. Roger was also a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Barachois branch 10251.
He is survived by his spouse of 59 years, Noëlla née LeBlanc; two daughters: Ginette Léger (Omer), Monique Picard (Percy); two sons: Gilles (Joanne), Marc (Rose); six sisters: Marie-Mai LeBlanc (late Francis), Claudette Gagnon (Edgar), Diane Thibodeau (Normand), Fernande Melanson (late Jackie), Jacinthe Brun (Ronald) and Roberte Landry (Paul); six brothers: Ronald (late Mamie), Victor (late Germaine), André (late Rosella), Irois (Héléna), Joe (Louise) and Arthur (Loretta); six grandchildren: Scott, Serge, Natacha, Mélanie, Maryssa, Frederick and three great grandchildren: Émilie, Caleb and Matéo.
He was predeceased by a brother, Alcide et un petit-fils, Stéphane.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where a chapel service will be held on Thursday November 2nd at 10:30 am. Visitations on Wednesday, November 1st from 3 pm to 5 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm only.
In memory of Roger, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Oncology unit at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC would be appreciated.
