It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Léger, 84, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Born January 4, 1933 in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late Arthur and Edna (Richard) Léger.
As past owner of Paul’s Construction, he built many fine homes in the Moncton area. His company continues today with his son Marc. Paul loved the great outdoors, gardening, cutting wood & berry picking. He spent many weekends with friends and family going to Martin Head to fish, hunt, camp and cook over an open fire.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Debbie Morris (Kevin) of Quispamsis; his son, Marc (Phyllis) of Notre-Dame; two grandchildren: Andrew and Rebecca; three sisters: Sr. Edith Léger NDSC, Jeannette Daigle (late Lazare), and Lucille Cormier (Paul), all of Moncton; one brother, Clarence (late Claudette) of Notre-Dame; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helena (2014); and one brother, Raymond (2001).
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 7 at 11 am. A reception at the funeral centre will follow. Visiting hours are Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Interment will be in Notre-Dame. In memory of Paul, a contribution to Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Residence would be appreciated.
