Jean Landry, 95, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday November 1, 2017 at the War Veterans Centre in Moncton. Born on August 7, 1922 in Caraquet, he was the son of the late Auguste and Rebecca (Dugas) Landry.
A war veteran with the Chateauguay Regiment, Jean was a self-employed cabinet maker.
He is survived by his wife of four years, Rose née Sawyer; four children: Jean of Caraquet, Raymond of Shediac, Marie of Montréal, QC, and Michelle of Washington, DC; one step-daughter, Brenda Sawyer (Roger Belliveau) of Moncton; one granddaughter, Nadine; three step-grandchildren: Britney, Jordan, and Jaylin; two sisters: Rose-Marie Savoie (late Jean-Guy), and Edmonde Landry, both of Pokemouche; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Alexina; a son, Robert; his siblings: Omer, Jeannette, Gérald, Majella, Augustine, Yvon, Fortunat, and Cyril.
In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation nor funeral service. In memory of Jean, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
