Sr Célina Bourgeois
Sister Célina Bourgeois, ndsc, in religion Marie-Anne-Céline passed away on Sunday November 12, 2017 at Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur in Moncton following a short illness.
She was 92 years old and in her 73rd year of her religious life.
Born July 24, 1925 in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Fidèle Bourgeois and the late Céline née Cormier.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She’s also predeceased by two sisters: Sr Florine Bourgeois (ndsc) , and Lucie Tracy; eight brothers : Philippe, Léonard, Thélex, Sylvain, Richard, Alphée, Abel and Édouard.
Sister Célina will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison mère at 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Tuesday from 2 to 8:30 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Tuesday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 15 in the chapel of Maison-mère at 10 am. Fr. Daniel Deveau officiating. Interment will be in Memramcook.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
