Béatrice Melanson, 90, of Dieppe, passed on Wednesday December 6, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on October 8, 1927 in Edmundston, she was the daughter of the late Fidèle and Ozélie (Robichaud) Daigle.
She is survived by nine daughters: Alfreda Léger (Donald LeBlanc) and Annette Gauvin (Tony), both of Dieppe; Ida Richard (late Darryl), Phyllis Melanson, Anita Melanson (Désiré Goguen), Denise Cormier (Georges), Paulette Melanson, and Rachel Melanson (Daren), all of Moncton, and Juliette Stewart (Steeve) of Calgary; four sons: Yvon, Armand (Murielle), and Denis (Norah), all of Moncton, and Eric (Charline) of Dieppe; two sisters: Ida Melanson (late Edgar) of Grande-Digue, and Thérèse Pratt (late Neil) of Ottawa, Ont.; one brother, Louis (late Eva) of Leominster, Mass.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Léonard Melanson (1982); one son, Paul; one son-in-law, Edgar; three sisters: Delida, Juliette, and Natalie; three brothers: Fred, Willie, and Armand.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. church, 858 Mountain Road, Moncton on Monday December 11 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Béatrice, a contribution to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation (cardiology) would be appreciated.
