Rita Cormier, 87, wife of Edmond "T-Mine" Cormier of Irishtown, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born October 7, 1930 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ozélie (Collette) Cormier.
Besides her beloved husband of 65 years, Rita will be sadly missed by her six children: John (Kathy), Henri (Yvonne), Bob, Doris Melanson (Charles), Dorine Belliveau (Bob), and Thérèse Cormier (Donald Taylor); 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Thébeau; her nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Claire.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence O’Toole R.C. Church, 2340 Route 115, Irishtown on Thursday December 21 at 11 am. Interment will be in Irishtown. In memory of Rita, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
