Yvon Bourque, 89, of Shediac passed away on Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont U.H.C.
Born in Memramcook on November 6th, 1928, he was the son of the late Émile & Yvonne (Léger) Bourque.
Before his retirement, he was a professional driver for Armour Transport, a carpenter, and a licensed welder. He loved music and was strongly devoted to bringing joy and laughter to family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Bella née LeBlanc; six children: Alvin Bourque of Ottawa ON, Diane Gaudet (Late Don) and Janita LeBlanc (late Lloyd) of Shediac, Murielle Arsenault (Reginald) of Cocagne, James Bourque (Linda) of Mass USA, and Lisa Bourque (Daniel Savoie) of Moncton; one sister, Bertha LeBlanc of Cap-Pelé; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by a brother, Raoul.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, January 15th at 4 pm.
Visiting hours on Monday from 2 pm.
In memory of Yvon, a contribution to the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
