Alverie Brun

Alverie Brun

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Alverie Brun who was born on October 16, 1944 in Shemogue.  Married to his beloved Ernestine (Porelle) for 50 years, he raised us in Lower Sackville, NS before retiring to Cap-Pele and Shediac, NB. Papa loved taking walks on the beach, fishing off the pier and golfing with his brother and friend, Laurie.

He was a man of great faith who felt comfort in his last days knowing that he would be reunited with his Saviour, Jesus. He spoke often of how humbled he was to volunteer for Prison Fellowship Canada and provide fellowship to the inmates at the Dorchester and Shediac Correctional Facilities. The inmates and staff held a very special place in his heart. As his family, we are grateful to have been able to share this special man with others.

A proud Pépère, he loved his four grandchildren: Luke, Selena, Colin and Kierstin, who were the absolute joy of his life. He leaves behind his family, his wife, Ernestine; daughters: Lyne and Monique (Colin); his sisters: Carmel (Leslie) Bernadette (Jim), Patsy (Jean-Paul); his brother, Laurie (Rachelle) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Angella and his parents, Vincent and Minnie (Doiron).

A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital UHC. If you would like to make a donation in Papa's name, please consider a donation to the Palliative Care Unit.

A celebration of his life will be held with visitation on Monday from 7-9 pm only from the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé.

The funeral service will be held at Faith Life Church, 2800 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, on Tuesday, April 3rd at 10:30 am.
