Joseph "Joe" LeBlanc
Joseph "Joe" Clément LeBlanc, 87, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday April 8, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on November 23, 1930 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Narcisse and Aurélia (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
He worked many years in the moving industry with Allied Van Lines. Upon his retirement, he took on the hobby of woodworking at his home. He was President of the Moncton Minor Hockey, member of the Beausejour Curling Club and Air Force Vets Club. He enjoyed the baseball games in the area and was an avid fan of the Moncton Wildcats. He enjoyed fishing on the Renous River with his friends.
He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Jensen (Jens) of Riverview; one son, Donald "Donnie" (Kathy) of Grand-Barachois; four grandchildren: Michael, Andrew, Katie, and Matthew; four great-grandchildren: Hayden, Jaxen, Noah, and Oliver; one sister, Florence Boudreau (Alonzo) of Moncton; one sister-in-law, Betty LeBlanc of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elta née Goodall (2003); and two brothers: Ulysse, and Alvery "Tipper" (Christina).
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Wednesday May 9, 2018 at 2pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Joseph, a contribution to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (NICU) or the IWK Foundation would be appreciated.
