Yvette Cormier, 74, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at her residence surrounded by the ones she loved. Born on November 7, 1943 in Collette, she was the daughter of the late François and Lucie (Gionet) Doucette.
Spending time with her family and friends was very important to Yvette. She loved gatherings where she welcomed her loved ones with her unique friendly welcoming way. She was always ready and happy to help anyone and her house was always open to whoever needed assistance.
She will be missed a lot by her husband of 53 years, Donald; her daughter, Charline Cormier; her son, Raymond (Melissa); three grandchildren: Gabriel, Tristan, and Edie; two sisters: Emérentienne Haché (late Eugène) and Thérèse Arsenault (Alvin); four brothers: Lionel (Madeleine), Fernand (Elvina), Yvon (Norma), and Alex (Gracia); one brother-in-law, Gilles Perry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Rita, and a brother, Aimée at a young age.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Monday May 7, 2018 at 4 pm. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium. In memory of Yvette, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
