It is with profound sadness and grief, we announce that Yvon suddenly passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018.
We will miss his stories about youthful motorcycle adventures, building model airplanes and his fascinating experiences while serving for more than 30 years on the Moncton Police Force.
Born on August 19, 1936 in Moncton he was the son of the Late Joseph and Célina (Duguay) Maillet. Mourning his loss are his beloved wife of 55 years Agnes (Aggie); four children: Michel (Steffany), Paulette (Pierre), Charles (Ellen) and Josette (Mario); five grandchildren: Sophie, Simon, Chlöé, Alexandre and Veleska; his sisters and brothers: Irène, Robéa, Diane, Robert "Bob", Yvette, Léonard and Léona; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by three sisters: Jeanne, Viola and infant Robéa and one brother, Infant Valmond.
There will be no visitation at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at the Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton. Interment will be at the Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.
