Auréa Lirette, 89, of Moncton, formerly of Greenwood Drive in Shediac, passed away on Friday, September 14th, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Cap-Pelé on January 14th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Rose-Anna (LeBlanc) Léger.
She is survived by her five children: Mary-Rose Stockall (David), Susan Murray (Raymond), Annette Flanagan (Lte Lloyd), Guy (Diane Gaudet) and Ronald (Ginette Goguen); eight grandchildren: Melanie, Nicholas, David, Diane, Jennifer, Lisa, Daniel and Christopher; 11 great grandchildren: Brianne, Jayden, Annabella, Logan, Carter, Jacob, Mia, Lorenzo, Benjamin, Olivia and Isaiah; three sisters: Helena LeBlanc (Lte Paul), Léontine Cormier (Gérard) and Lorraine Cossette (Lte Antonio).
She was predeceased by her spouse, Ovila (2015); six siblings: Alban, Maurille, Guillaume, Rachel, Irma and Stephanie.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Monday, September 17th from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm only. The funeral will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace, 11 St. Andrews Street, Pointe-du-Chêne on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:30 am.
In memory of Auréa, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
