Arthemise "Bernice" Babineau

Arthemise "Bernice" Babineau

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthemise "Bernice" Babineau, 90, wife of the late Tilmon Babineau, of Moncton, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born November 13, 1927 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Anibert and Exelda (Caissie) LeBlanc.

She was a well-loved and dedicated employee of Department of transportation (Aviation) and retired in 1990, with 36 years of service. She enjoyed going on bus tours, camping, knitting, playing bingo and most of all enjoyed her friends and family.

Bernice is survived by her only son, Ronald (Pauline), of Moncton; two granddaughters: Natalie LeBlanc (Marc) and Charline Amero (Philip); four great-grandchildren: Dominic, Jayla, Emma, and Amélia; four sisters: Florence Richard, Thérèse LeBlanc, Doris Arsenault, and Edith Duplessis (Edouard); as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she is also predeceased by three sisters: Anita, Anne-Marie, and infant Rose-Marie; two brothers: Henri and Léo.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Monday November 5 at 10 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

A sincere thank you to the palliative care nurses at 4D, the doctors, her friends and loved ones who accompanied her with tenderness and dedication during her stay at the Dumont hospital.

In memory of Arthemise, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
