Léonie Léger, 83, of Dieppe, formerly of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Tuesday, November 6th, 2018 at her residence Auberge du Soleil. Born July 8th,1935 in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Lumina (Richard) LeBlanc.
She was a former member of the Barachois and Shediac Golden
Age Club and volunteered to many organizations. She loved gardening,
sewing, quilting, darts, cards and more.
A devoted mother, she will be sadly missed by her loving children: Guy (Joceline), Jean (Phyllis), Roland (Robin), Daniel (Henry), Roger (Julie McCabe), Charline Boudreau (Roland), and Monette (Luc Jalbert); nine brothers and sisters: Thérèse Bourque (late Laurie), Délia Léger (late Hervé), Marie-Mai Jacob, Andréa LeBlanc (Donald), Ovila (Anita), Réginald (Barbara), Albert (Georgette), Albertine Léger (Dosithé) and Clorice; seven grandchildren: Mélanie, Joël, Jean-François, Johnathan, Danika, Joline and Isabelle; four great-grandchildren: Maci, Alyssa, Jillian and Alexia, as well as many nieces, and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles (2010); two sisters: Anne-Alice Léger and Corinne Landry; two brothers: Émile and Laurie;three half-sisters: Yvette LeBlanc, Rhéa LeBlanc and Marie McLaughlin; three half-brothers: Raymond, Émery and Louis.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday November 10th at 10:30 am followed by a reception. Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9pm and Saturday from 9:30 am until time of funeral service. Interment will be in the Frenette Funeral Centre Columbarium.
