Camilien "Cammy" Gaudet, 78, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre following a lengthy illness. Born April 19, 1940 in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Edouard and Alida (Belliveau) Gaudet.

He was a retired school teacher at École Abbey Landry in Memramcook having taught Physical Education, and former instructor of Cammy Hockey School for many years. Cammy enjoyed spending his leisure time at his camp in Memramcook, and following the local hockey teams.

He is survived by his wife, Denyse née Cormier; two sisters: Marie-Stella Landry (late Léonce) and Carmella LeBlanc (Lomer) of Memramcook; two brothers: Eugène (Huberte) of Pré-d’en-Haut, and Normand (Roselda) of Caraquet; many nieces, and nephews.

Camilien is also predeceased by a sister, Lucille Bourque (Eugène), and his brother, Edmour (Norma).

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, November 19 at 10:30 am. A reception at the centre will follow. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-4 pm only. In memory of Cammy, a donation to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
