Alice Gagnon, 84, of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Villa Providence following a lengthy illness. Born on January 15, 1934 in Grande-Digue, she was the daughter of the late Phillipe and Prémilia (Gallant) Donelle.
She is survived by four children: Yvette LeBlanc (Jean-Guy), Maurice (Louise) both of Cap-Pelé, Diane Broderick of Moncton, and Roland (Jacqueline) of Saint-John; three sisters: Lina Poirier (Late Paul) of Shirley Mass., Edna Poirier (Late Amand) of Shediac-Bridge and Laudia Léger (Emery) of Grande-Digue; nine grand-children: Daniel, Pierre, Michael, Sean, Mélanie, Kathleen, Josée, Emma and Isabelle; one daughter-in-law, Vivianne (Bois) of Bromont, Québec, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Léo-Paul, she is predeceased by a son, Réginald; one sister, Lorette; four brothers: Léo, Télex, Ovila and Alcide.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main St, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 4pm. A reception at the centre will follow. Visiting hours are from 2pm until time of funeral on Wednesday.
In memory of Alice a donation to the Alzheimer Society of New-Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
The children of Alice would like to thank all the staff at Villa Providence for their excellent care given to their mother during her stay.
