Laurie J. Belliveau passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton on November 13, 2018. Born in Moncton, N.B., Laurie was the son of the late Patrice (Alphée) and Elizabeth (Caissie) Belliveau.
A graduate of the Université de Moncton, Laurie was employed with Revenue Canada until his retirement. He enjoyed antiques, anything arts, music, cars and socializing with friends.
Laurie will be sadly missed by his daughter Sophie Belliveau (Stephen Benfell) of Auckland, New Zealand; brothers: Jean Belliveau (Catherine Merlac) of Toronto and Bernard Belliveau of St. John's, Nfld; niece and godchild Joanne Belliveau; nephews: Paul and Jean; as well as many cousins. He will be fondly remembered by the extended Richard family, godchildren: Emmanuelle LeBlanc, Amanda Richard and Ian Goodwin, co-workers and many friends.
In memory of Laurie as father and brother, a private remembrance gathering was held. Interment will take place in the spring.
