Ernest Haché, 75, of Moncton and formerly of Irishtown, passed away suddenly on Sunday January 6, 2019 at his residence. Born on March 12, 1943 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Hector and Yvonne (Roy) Haché.
Ernest worked at McKays Dairy for 25 years before his retirement. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus - Council 3468.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Géraine née Richard; two children: Suzanne Haché-Bourgeois and Donald, both of Irishtown; five grandchildren: Joshua, Douglas, Mathieu, Patrick, and Josée; two sisters: Lauza LeBlanc (Guy) of Dieppe, and Léoline Cormier (Terry) of Moncton; four brothers: Guy (Nanette), John (Diane), and Vernon (Anne), all of Moncton, and Gerry (Leona) of Ontario; two sisters-in-law: Joséphine Haché and Émérence Haché, both of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers: Yvon, Eugene, Peter (late Brenda), and Ronald.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Friday January 11 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Thursday from 7 to 9 pm only. A reception will follow at the centre. Interment will be in St. Lawrence O’Toole cemetery, Irishtown.
