Dorothy Cormier, 92, of Cap-Pelé passed away on Sunday October 13, 2019 at the CHU Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont. Born on December 16, 1926 in Saint-John, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Anna (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
She is survived by her children: Maria Cormier (late Léo-Paul) of Bas-Cap-Pelé, Rose Ouellette (Ronnie) of Petit-Cap and Roméo Cormier (Diane) of Cap-Pelé; her grandchildren: Crystal, Lyne, Nicole, Roland and André; her great-grandchildren: Xavier, Sébastien and Alexandre; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her husband Albénie, she was predeceased by a son, Omer; her sisters: Eveline, Clara, Aline, Rita, Ozanna, Corinne and Nellie; her brothers: Clifford, Charles, Gérard and Yvon.
As per the family’s request there will be no visitation at the funeral centre. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sainte-Thérèse-d’Avila R.C. Church in Cap-Pelé on Thursday October 17 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Dorothy, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated.
