Ella LeBlanc, 84, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at her residence. Born in Memramcook on April 16, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Severe and Lina (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Ella retired from the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital as an executive secretary. She loved the challenge of daily crypto quote puzzles and playing cards. Ella’s happiest times were spent with her late husband Ron, family and friends at their summer cottage in Grand-Barachois.
Ella is survived by two grandsons: Patrick and Léon along with their mother, Murielle, all of Dieppe; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald LeBlanc (2016); her son, Gilles R. LeBlanc (2015); four sisters: Edmée, Catherine, Diana, and Corinne; two brothers: Gérald and Hervé.
Deepest gratitude to nephew Gary LeBlanc, nieces Marise LeBlanc and Phyllis LeBlanc, and family friend, Shirley Smallwood, for being there in times of need.
In keeping with Ella’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral centre. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Saturday February 8 at 11 am. A reception will follow at the Christ-Roi Golden Age Club. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Ella, in lieu of flowers, a contribution to ALS Canada or to Heart and Stroke Foundation of N.B. would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
