Paul Cormier, 75, of Moncton, passed away with family by his side after long battle with cancer on Wednesday February 5, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 7, 1944 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Eric and Cécile (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Paul retired from the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur on King Street in Moncton 15 years ago where he worked for many years. He treasured his time with his wife, son and grandkids, and was a lover of nature and sports.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucille née Léger; one son, Daniel "Danny" (Nancy); two grandchildren: Ryan and Justin; three sisters: Sr Doris Cormier ndsc of Moncton, Stella Strand (late Ben) of Sarnia, ON, and Annette Landry (Ted) of Dieppe; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Lucille; and one brother, Roger.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday February 10 at 10 am. Visiting hours are Monday from 9 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium, Moncton. In memory of Paul, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
