Yvette Chiasson, 93, of Briarlea Nursing Home and formerly of Auberge du Soleil in Dieppe, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2020 at her residence.
Born on June 2, 1926 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Lucie (Hébert) LeBlanc.
She is survived by four children: Ronald (Liselle) of Shediac River, Marc (Louise Lebeau) of Toronto, ON, Anne-Marie Moore (Brian) of Barry’s Bay, ON, and Lucie Peaker (late Randy) of Dieppe; 10 grandchildren: Benjamin, Philippe, Patrick, Alice, Opal, Michael, Matthew, Shauna, Emily, and Max; 10 great-grandchildren: Ashlee, Charlotte, Kyle, Josh, Minnie, Jordyn, Chloe, Oliver, Violet, and Freya; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gilles (1985); her partner, Joseph "Jr" Margist; three sisters: Solange, Lorraine, and Anise; five brothers: Paul, Cédric, Léonard, Albéric, and Rodrigue.
Yvette was happiest surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hers was an open heart and with it she touched the lives of many. In return she was loved by all. She will be missed.
In light of the current Coronavirus pandemic and at the request of the family, visitation and funeral will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church St Moncton (858-1900). Interment will be in Grande-Digue.
