Edgar Babineau, 68, of Shediac Cape, passed away on Monday May 4, 2020 at his residence. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Henry and Sophie (Léger) Babineau.
Edgar worked in construction as an excavator operator since he was about 16 years old and was employed by H.E. Carson & Sons, ACL, Dextor and more companies throughout his career. He was an avid Nascar fan and his favorite drivers were Chase Elliot and Jeff Gordon. His happy place was at Pointe-du-Chêne Wharf where he enjoyed countless hours socializing and relaxing at its best.
He is survived by two sisters: Rita Boucher (late Raymond) of St-Antoine, and Claudette Richard (Eloi) of Shediac Cape; one brother, Jerry (Anne-Marie) of Shediac Bridge; as well as his nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant brother, Jean-François.

In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in St-Joseph parish cemetery in Shediac. In memory of Edgar, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
