Elmire Breau, 95, of Résidence du Marais in Dieppe, passed away peacefully, on Friday July 3, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC in Moncton. Born on October 29, 1924 in St-Paul-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Théophane and Eva (Gaudet) LeBlanc.
She loved to treat everybody who came to her home with delicious meals and sweets.
She will be missed by three sons: Clarence (Carol) of St. Isidore, ON, Charles (Colette) of Moncton, and Fernand (Diane) of Ville LaSalle, QC; one sister, Alice Cormier (late Émerie) of Dieppe; one special nephew, Paul; nine grandchildren; Jennifer, Jimmy, Jessica, Jaysen, Kim, Cindy, Michael, Erik, David, and Candace; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, to her grandchildren she was called mémère; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Elmire was predeceased by her husband, Raoul (2005); one granddaughter, Mélanie; two sisters: Louise Gosselin and Agatha Breau; two brothers: Denis and Léo.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Louise, Réjean and the staff of Résidence du Marais and the 3C Unit at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their wonderful care provided to Elmire.
The family will receive condolences on Monday July 27 from 7 to 9 pm only at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the private funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday July 28 at 11 am. Face coverings are required to attend visitation. The funeral service will be streamed live; there will be a link with her obituary on our Website. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Elmire, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
