Huberte LeBlanc

1934-2020

Huberte LeBlanc

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Huberte Leblanc, 86, on Sunday, July 5th, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC, palliative care unit.

Born in Barachois, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Mélécée (LeBlanc) Boudreau. Huberte was the youngest and the last surviving in a family of six children.

Huberte was predeceased by her first spouse, Adrice Vienneau (1960); her second spouse Arthur Leblanc (1994); her brothers and sisters: Léonce (feu Lorraine), Ola (Lorida), Joseph (Jeannine), Anita (Fréderic Toner) and Marie-Anne (Gérard Goguen).

Huberte had just celebrated her 86th birthday with her spouse Loney. Before her retirement, Huberte lived in Brampton, Ontario with her family. She had a career with Northern Telecom. Huberte’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and preparing hearty meals, especially her well-known seafood casserole and playing cards with family and friends. We will miss her terribly.

She is survived by her husband, Loney Leblanc; five children: Guy Vienneau (Georgette) of Montréal, Québec; Aline (Steve Payne) of Brampton, Ontario; Claudette Dejonkheere (Daniel) of Mississauga, Ontario; Bernard Vienneau of Reno, Nevada; Janice Amaral (Frank) of Brampton, Ontario; eight grandchildren : Danielle, Alex, Patrick, Michelle, Scott, Vanessa, Nicholas, and Brigitte, seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; his stepchildren : Louis (Maria) Leblanc of Dieppe, Yvette Cormier (Alex) of Moncton, Mariette Gauvin (feu René) of Shédiac, as well as several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

The family would like to thank the staff of Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC and the palliative care unit for providing good care of Huberte. Special thanks to Mrs. Louise Boissonneault for the support service and the spiritual accompaniment for our mother and family during these difficult times.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday. A family gathering at the Cocagne cemetery will take place at a later date.

The funeral service will be online by day’s end on Tuesday, July 14th.

Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
