It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Normand Caissie, 73, of Moncton, on Sunday July 12, 2020 at the Villa du Repos. Born in Lakeburn, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Cormier) Caissie.
Normand was a taxi driver for 37 years and he also was a security guard at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont hospital. He loved fishing and camping but most of all woodworking was his favorite pastime. He also loved playing Santa Claus for the children and the sick people.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda née Kennerson; three sons: Steven, Dennis and Thomas; three step-children: Daniel Rossignol (Adelle), Timothy Rossignol (Laura) and Catherine Rossignol (Jason); nine step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Noëlla Snyder (John); two brothers: Ronald (Linda) and Donald; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Georgina.
Due to the pandemic, a private funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday July 17 at 10:30 am. The funeral service will be streamed live; there will be a link with his obituary on our Website. In memory of Normand, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
