Imelda Claire Doyle, 101, of Moncton Residence and formerly of Pointe-du-Chêne, passed away on Thursday July 23, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Gallant) Léger.
Prior to her retirement, Imelda was a seamstress at Creaghan’s in the bridal department.
She is survived by her son, Frederick "Freddy"; two half-sisters: Jeannita Laforest and Benoite Goguen; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick "Fred"; her daughter, Constance "Connie"; four sisters: Alma, Lucilleda, Sara, and Maria; three brothers: Léandre, Alcide, and Ulric; two half-sisters: Fernande and Jeannine; one half-brother, Léo-Paul.
Special thanks to her nieces, Joanne and Pauline, who provided exceptional care to Imelda during the past few years.
Due to Covid-19, at the family’s request, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Imelda, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
