Jean-Paul Vautour,73, of Providence St, Shediac, passed away on Friday July 24, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Edgar and Catherine (Boudreau) Vautour.
Prior to his retirement, Jean-Paul installed sprinklers for Viking Fire Protection Company for many years and then went on to work for Paul Léger Contracting as a painter.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Edith (Léger) Vautour; his step-children: Yvette LeBlanc (Fernand) of Saint-Marcel, Joanne LeBlanc (Paul) of Grande-Digue and Daniel (Lisa) of Shediac; four step-grandchildren: Martin, Jessica, Ashley and Nadia; three step-great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Danika and Hailey; three sisters: Lucille Cormier (Jean-Louis) of Cap-Pelé, Albertine Léger (Bernard) and Bernadette Doiron (late Rhéal) both of Shediac; three brothers: Ovide, Eloi (Ghislaine) both of Shediac and Bertin (Gisèle) of Cocagne; as well many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister Estelle at a young age.
Due to the pandemic, a private funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396, Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Tuesday July 28 at 11:30 am. Interment will be in La Visitation R.C. parish cemetery.
In memory of Jean-Paul, a contribution to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
