Thérèse Bourque

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thérèse Bourque, 91, of Grand-Barachois on Tuesday August 18, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and Lumina (Richard) LeBlanc.

Thérèse was a devout Christian who loved her family dearly. She was kind and considerate and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved to travel and had a passion for flowers, gardens and her favourite pastime, blueberry picking.  We will miss her deeply.

She is survived by three daughters: Noëlla Gray (Florent) and Gisèle Doucet (Regis) all of Saint-John and Annette Horsman (Randy) of Moncton; two sons: Guy (Thérèse) and Louis all of Moncton; four sisters: Délia Léger, Albertine Léger (Dosithé), Marie-Mai Jacob and Andréa LeBlanc (Donald); four brothers: Ovila (Anita), Albert (Georgette), Réginald (Barbara) and Clorice; a daughter in-law, Thérèse Bourque of Cocagne; a sister in-law, Annette LeBlanc; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Laurie Bourque; a son, Ronald; six sisters: Rhéa LeBlanc, Annalice Léger, Corinne Landry, Léonie Léger, Marie McLachlan and Yvrette LeBlanc; five brothers: Emery, Louis, Raymond, Laurie and Émile.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Sunday August 23 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only.

Visitation limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation. Social distancing regulations are in effect.

Masks are mandatory to enter the funeral centre.

A private funeral mass will be celebrated at the St-Thérèse-d’Avila R. C. church, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Monday August 24th at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in parish cemetery.

In memory of Thérèse, a contribution to the Vestiaire St-Joseph or to the Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre would be appreciated.
