Dora Cormier, 80, of Villa de Repos, Moncton, passed away at her residence on Sunday September 13, 2020. Born in St-Antoine, she was the daughter of the late Désiré and Marguerite (Maillet) Léger.
She was a former president St-Antoine home school and a former village counsellor of St-Antoine NB.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Normand Cormier of Moncton formerly of St-Antoine; two sons: Claude (Shirley) of Cocagne and Michel (Ingrid) of Toronto; one sister, Geneva Boucher (late Joseph) of Dieppe; two sisters-in-law: Georgeline Léger and Géraldine Robichaud Léger both of St-Antoine; six grandchildren: Britnee, Brandon, Natasha, Marissa, Matthew and Raymond; six great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Conrad; four sisters: Edna Cormier, Edith Bourque, Geraldine Richard, and Léona LeBlanc; four brothers: Yvon, Emerie, Paul and Eric.
The family will receive condolences at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite R.C. Church, 24 avenue de l’Église Avenue, St-Antoine on Thursday, September 17th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the church at any given point during visitation.
The private funeral mass will be celebrated Saint-Antoine l’Ermite R.C. Church, 24 avenue de l’Église Avenue, St-Antoine, on Friday, September 18th. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The funeral mass will be videotaped, and the video will be available on her obituary on our Website by the end of the day.
In memory of Dora, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society or the St-Antoine cemetery would be appreciated.
