Alfred Boudreau, 89, of Petit-Cap, passed away on Wednesday September 23, 2020 at his residence. Born in Barachois, he was the son of the late Raymond and Marie (Babineau) Boudreau.
Prior to his retirement, Alfred was a carpenter and employee with Boudreau Seafood. He was also a member of the Golden Age Club in Shemogue and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 9178, Rév. Donat Robichaud.
He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Simone; his children: Émilie LeBlanc (Omer) of Bas-Cap-Pelé, Ronald (Bernadette), Gérald (Dorine), Lorraine Boudreau (Ronald) all of Petit-Cap and Irène (Eric) Murphy Cap-Pelé; brothers and sisters: Simonne LeBlanc (late Alcide), Jeanne Cormier (late Norman), Louise Dupuis (Jean-Paul), Beatrice Bourque (Georges), Andréa Boudreau (late Claude), Stella Boudreau (Jean-Loup Guérin), Bernice Bourque (late Eugène), Roméo Boudreau (Marie-Jeanne) all of Shediac, Normand Boudreau (Evelyn) of Riverview and Rose Rockwell (Gerry) of Halifax, NS; seven grandchildren: Nadine, Chantal, Mathieu, Fabien, Sophie, Samuel and Mélanie; eight great-grandchildren: Josianne, Justin, Adèle, Bastien, Cédrik, Miguel, Maxime and Céline, as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Gloria Léger and Lorraine Boudreau and two brothers: Donald and infant brother, Ronald.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.
A private funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila R.C. Church, 2646 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé, Saturday Septembre 26. Interment will be in the Saint-Timothée cemetery, Shemogue. The funeral mass will be videotaped and will be available on his obituary on our Website by mid afternoon.
In memory of Alfred, a contribution to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Saint-Timothée cemetery, Shemogue would be appreciated.
