Odilon Richard, 95, of Manoir Notre-Dame, Moncton, formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Friday September 25, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Acadieville, he was the son of the late Marcel and Victoire (Williams) Richard.
Odilon will be remembered for his love of music, playing his guitar with his friend Léon and telling funny stories. He was also an avid bowler for many years.
He is survived by his children: Claudette Cormier (Gilbert), Linda Cormier (Louis), Jeanne Richard (Anne), Aline Richard, Denis and Léon (Francine) all of Moncton, Victor (Louise) of Scoudouc; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Jeanne D’Arc Chiasson of Moncton and Sylvia Arsenault of Dieppe; one brother, Alexis of Bouctouche; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine née Collette (2017); three sisters: Rita Hébert, Evangeline Chiasson, and Rosa Sampson; two brothers, Delphis and Raymond.
A private visitation and funeral service will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Funeral service will be lived streamed on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 11 am on his obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com
Face coverings are required and social distancing regulations are in effect. Interment will be in Frenette Columbarium.
