Paul Saulnier, 85, of Cormier Village, passed away on Sunday September 27, 2020 at his residence. Born in St-Antoine, he was the son of the late Jacques "Jim" and Mélina (LeBlanc) Saulnier. Paul lost his biological parents at a young age and was adopted by the Henri Girouard family.
Before his retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator for J.D. Irving Woodland and Gérard Goguen Heavy Equipment.
He is survived by his five children: Paul-Émile (Diane) and Cecile Saulnier (Dave) all of Shediac, Victor and Marcel both of Cormier-Village and Angèle (Paul) of St-André; four granddaughters: Chantal, Jennifer, Christine and Kennedy; two great-granddaughters: Brooklyn and Ashley; great-great-grandson, Jayden, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Louise Saulnier; three children: Angela, Léo and Suzanne; four brothers: Alyre, Aubin, Alphée and Joseph Ulysse; two sisters: Anna and Laudia.
There will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré-Coeur R.C., 1356 Route 133, Haute-Aboujagane on Thursday October 1st, 2020 at 10:30 am. The funeral mass will be videotaped and the video will be available on his obituary on our Website by the end of the day.
In memory of Paul, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
