Cedric "Ted" Ayles

Cedric "Ted" Eugene Ayles, 78, of Shediac, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Sunday September 27, 2020. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late John and Elayne (Ogden) Ayles.

Ted started his career at Eatons Canada as a buyer. He moved home where he purchased his first business, Lakeville Grocery. He later caught the construction bug, and he built and renovated many apartment buildings. Many happy winters were spent in Florida. He loved to entertain his visiting children and grandkids, summers were spent boating on Shediac Bay and he was a member at SBYC.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Ann (Belliveau); two sons: Greg (Krista) of Shediac River and Andrew of Dieppe; a sister, Janice Moore of Montreal, QC; a brother, Gary (Doris) of Victoria, BC; two step-children: Edward Steeves (Marney) of Halifax, NS and Kim Hendrickson (Dean) of Shediac Cape; six grandchildren: Marnee Ayles, Peter Ayles, Amelia Hendrickson, Thomas Hendrickson, Kennedy Steeves and Sydney Steeves, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation.

A private funeral service will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Funeral service will be live streamed on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11 am on his obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com.

In memory of Ted, a contribution to the Moncton Hospital (oncology department) would be appreciated.
