It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ulysse Duguay, 85, formerly of Cap-Pelé, on Monday November 2, 2020 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born in Bas-Cap-Pelé, he was the son of the late Aimée and Melindy (Leger) Duguay.
Ulysse was the former co-owner of Duguay Brother Ltd. Which he co-founded with his brother, Yvon. Ulysse was a very hard worker but a very simple man.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Emilia (Cormier) Duguay of Cap-Pelé; four step-children: Norman Doiron (Denise) of Grand-Barachois, Joanne Cormier (Kevin) of Dieppe, Brenda Goguen (Donald) and Mike Doiron (Nicole) all of Bas-Cap-Pelé; a brother, Yvon Duguay (Florida) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; two sisters: Lizzie Boleyn (late Don) of Cap-Pelé and Levina Ouelette (Oscar) of Bas-Cap-Pelé; a sister in-law, Jeanne Duguay of Bas-Cap-Pelé; a brother in-law, Augustin Morais; 15 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by a sister, Yvrette Morais; a brother, Arthur; a great-niece, Myriam Duguay.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Friday November 6 from 12:45 to 1:45 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required for visitation and social distancing regulations are in effect. Limit of 50 people in the funeral centre at any given point during visitation
A private chapel service will take place at Frenette Funeral Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac. It will be live streamed on his obituary on our Website on Friday Novembre 6, 2020 at 2 pm.
In memory of Ulysse, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
