Francis Landry, 89, of Grand-Barachois passed away at home on Sunday November 8, 2020 surrounded by his son and daughter. Born in St-André-LeBlanc, he was the son of the late Stanislas "Tanis" and Edmée (Richard) Landry. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Emma Richard-Dupuis. He was an avid hunter and handy with his hands building many bird houses, some displayed on the front lawn, and he enjoyed playing cards especially 200.
He is survived by his two children: Anne-Marie Gautreau (Ken MacQuarrie) of Grande-Digue and Roland (Paulette) of Grand-Barachois; two foster children: Linda Boucher (late Normand) and Léonard LeBlanc (Géraldine) all of Moncton; brothers and sisters: Pierre (Cheryl), Jean-Louis (Lise) all of Shediac, Émile (Irma) of Curran, ON, Edmée LeBlanc (late Danny) of Dieppe and Anna LeBlanc (Clarence) of Memramcook; four grandchildren: Pierre (Melanie), Daniel, Martin (Melanie) and Luc; one great-grandchild, Alexandre; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Laurina (Bourque) Landry (2017); three sisters: Doris O’Brien (2019), Aline Landry and Éveline Fougère (2020).
Due to the pandemic, there will be no visitation. A private Chapel service will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre on Monday November 16, 2020 at 11 am. Face coverings are mandatory and social distancing regulations are in effect. Interment will be in Frenette Funeral Columbarium, Shediac.
