Zilla Charlebois, 101, formerly of Gloucester, ON, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur in Dieppe, NB. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edgar T. and Anna (Landry) LeBlanc.
She is survived by two sons: Edgar (Suzanne Pilon) of Montreal, QC, and Yvon (Jacinthe Gagnon) of Gatineau, QC; and granddaughters: Debra, Ariane, Nadine, Geneviève and Stéphanie; five sisters: Sr. Germaine LeBlanc ndsc Moncton, Josette Levesque (Dr. Joe) Charlo, Huberte Boissonnault (Victor) Church Point, NS, Jeannine O’Hearn (Don) Dartmouth, NS, and Euclida Bourque (Gerry) Moncton; three brothers: Jean-Paul, Jules (Marguerite) Moncton, and Guy, Ottawa, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Georges (1995); her daughter, Thérèse; one sister, Jacqueline; as well as three brothers: Raymond, René and Gérard.
The family would like to thank the medical staff and administration for their very personal care and compassion given these times. Bravo to their professionalism and personal care. We could not ask for more.
A funeral service will be celebrated in Ottawa, ON, at a later date. Interment will be in Notre-Dame cemetery in Ottawa. In memory of Zilla, a contribution to Congregation Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, would be appreciated.
