Minnie Jacob, 83, of Foyer Lisa Allain, Bouctouche and formerly of Petit-Cap passed away at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital on January 26, 2021. Born in Cap-Pelé, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helena (Richard) Brun.
Minnie’s favorite hobby was knitting. Many people were thankful to receive mittens and socks that she made with love. She knit hats and mittens for children in need for many years. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could not get enough of their hugs and kisses.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Jacob-Vogels (Chris) of Sackville; three grandchildren: Julie (Gabriel), Justin and Emma; two great-grandchildren: Alexa and Jacob; three sisters: Élise Brine, Edna Brien and Laura Jacob, as well as many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roméo Jacob (2016); four sisters: Anita Brine, Anna Surette, Zella Melanson and infant sister, Marie; two brothers: Donat and Clovis.
A special thank you to the staff of Foyer Lisa Allain and Dr. Eric Martin for the excellent care provided to Minnie over the past four years. The family would also like to thank Aline and Amber, nurses at the hospital, for their compassionate care.
Due to the pandemic, the visitation and funeral service will take place at a later date.
In memory of Minnie, a contribution to "Les Ami.e.s de l’Hôpital Stella-Maris-de-Kent foundation" (506-743-7810) would be appreciated.
