Micheline Dehon Bataller
Micheline Bataller, of Shediac, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 at the Villa Providence in Shediac on Thursday, February 4th, 2021. Born in Belgium, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Marcelle (Goffe) Dehon.
She made her career as a fashion and couture professor at the Lycée Royal de Namur in Belgium. She was also a seamstress / modiste in Shediac. Micheline was passionate about travel and history. All needlework, like cross stitch, and working in her garden brought her joy and happiness.
She is survived by her four children: Erick Bataller (Mireille Alcime), Caroline Bataller (Luc Berthe), Véronique Thompson (Ricky) and Nathalie Cormier; 10 grandchildren: David Duplessis (Katelyn), Alexandra Duplessis, John Thompson (Marie Soleil), Evens Estime (Ira), Bradley Thompson (Véronique), Ian Duplessis (Nathalie Gagnon), Lily Estime (Romeo), Diani Estime, Samuel Cormier (Janelle Leger) and Sabrina Cormier (Alex Legare); as well as several great-grandchildren.
Her parents and her husband, Lucien Bataller, predeceased her.
Micheline’s final resting place will be in the columbarium of the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Center, Shediac.
