Georgette Arsenault, 74, of Shediac, peacefully departed us after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday February 7, 2021 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Adrice and Corinne (Ouellette) Richard.
Georgette was strong, independent, and courageous. She was blessed to have a loving family and friends always by her side. She loved going on trips with her sisters and friends. Georgette’s greatest gifts were her dogs and her family. Although she was not the type to show affection, she was there for them without hesitation and with much love. Georgette was grateful to have her family and friends as her support system. They brought joy to her life everyday and allowed her to live her life to the fullest until the end. It meant everything to her. The love in our family, flows strong and deep, leaving us memories to cherish and keep.
She will be deeply missed by her four sisters: Nicole
(Noëlla LeBlanc), Doris Boudreau (Louis), Suzanne Gallant
(Antoine) and Janice (Louis Michel); two brothers: Jean-Guy
(Hélène) and Michel (Huguette). She will also be
missed by a niece, several nephews and by many good friends.
Georgette is now reunited with her parents, Adrice and Corinne Richard and her sister, Violette.
The family would like to thank the staff of the extra mural
and the oncology department at the CHU Dumont Hospital.
Due to the pandemic, the funeral service will be celebrated at a later date. Interment will be in St-Joseph parish cemetery in Shediac. In memory of Georgette, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
