Guy "Simick" Cormier


Guy "Simick" Cormier

It is with great sadness that the family of Guy "Simick" Cormier announces his sudden passing at the age of 53 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on Sunday February 7, 2021. Born in Shediac, he was the son of Edouard and Marie Anne (Cormier) Cormier of Shediac. 

Guy was a hometown boy who enjoyed spending time in nature and drives to the Pointe-du-Chêne Wharf. He was a member of the gym in Shediac. In his younger days he loved banging on his drum set. He also had an artistic side in drawing, had a passion for cooking and he loved joking around with his family and friends closes to him. He will be sadly missed by all the lives he has touched. He was employed with the University of Moncton.

Besides his parents, he will be dearly missed by one brother, Daniel (Sharlene) of Lakeville and one niece, Melanie.

He was predeceased by one brother, Roland.

The family would like to sincerely thank the oncology department of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC Hospital of the kind care Guy received from the nurses and doctors.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral services. Interment will be in St-Joseph cemetery, Shediac in the spring. In memory of Guy, a contribution to the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre or to the Vestiaire St-Joseph would be appreciated. Cremation and funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac (532-3297).
