Jean-Charles "John" Melanson
Jean-Charles "John" Melanson, 53, of Moncton, passed away following a short illness, on Sunday February 7, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Clarence and Theresa (Saulnier) Melanson.
John’s favourite pastime was hanging out with his grandkids whom he loved very much, and he would have done anything for his family. He loved watching the Montréal Canadians hockey, getting tattoos, socializing and helping anyone in need. Having worked as a landscaper for 20 years, he had enjoyed the job, especially planting flowers, as well as the people he worked with and the customers. He greatly appreciated his current job at Eco 360 as well as his caring supervisor and co-workers.
John will be sadly missed by his high school sweetheart and wife of 34 years, Sharon née Smith; his daughter and son-in-law whom he loved with all his heart, Amanda LeBlanc (Brandon); his precious grandchildren: Carter and Skye; his sister, Suzanne; his brother, Andy (Christine); as well as his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Robert-Paul and Terry.
By request, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. In memory of John, a contribution to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
