Yvonne Bourque, of Shediac and formerly of Scoudouc, passed away at the age of 78 at the Residence O Bon Soins in Shediac on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Born in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Alyre F. and Hélène Bourque.
She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Scoudouc. She loved to knit and crochet.
She is survived by three sisters: Lucie (Yvon Arsenault) of Shediac, Cécile Thibodeau (late Marcial) and Eva (Normand Robichaud) all of Moncton; two brothers: Alvin (Emilie Bourque) and Arsène Bourque all of Scoudouc, as well as 12 nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Edith Cormier (late Émerie).
The family would like to thank the Oncology Department at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC, attending physicians, staff of the O Bon Soins and extra-mural for their great care.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum of 25 people at a time during visitation with social distancing regulations are in effect.
The private funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac. The funeral service will be streamed on her obituary by the end of the day Monday February 22, 2021 at www.frenettefuneralhome.com . Interment will be in Saint-Jacques cemetery, Scoudouc.
In memory of Yvonne, a contribution to CHU Dumont (oncology) or to the Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur parish would be appreciated.
