Ronald Briffett, 93, of Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday March 10, 2021 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Donkin, NS, he was the son of the late Edward and Isabelle (Newsworthy) Briffett.
Ronald was a leader for 33 years in the stockroom with Nortel Telecom.
He is survived by a nephew-in-law, Roy Vaters (late Johnena) of Donkin, NS; his step-daughter, Peggy Hogan (Jim) of New Glasgow, PEI; his step-granddaughter, Tasha (Hogan) Van Hemme; and two step-great granddaughters: Emma and Shayna. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Poirier (2019); his siblings: Béatrice, Marie, Gladys, Joseph, James, Frank, Fred, Albert, Malcolm and David; one step-brother, Thomas; his niece, Johnena (2020).
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday March 16 at 11 am. Due to the pandemic, face coverings are required and a maximum participation of 50 people at a time with social distancing regulations are in effect.
